My Girls!

This past Sunday,  I was feeling nostalgic about my little girls not being babies anymore so I pulled out my Mother's Journal that I have been writing in since I was pregnant with Cami. I found Cami's birthday letter for when she turned 3! I cried!!
It was very emotional for me to read all the details I wrote down about Cami as a baby. My details for Jordyn are fewer,
I guess because I was keeping up with Cami while tending to a newborn.
How do you all do it with more than 2?
Wonders never cease!
Well, I was reminded that Cami began reading her first Bob Book at 4 and 1/2 years old! Amazing! I will never forget the day.. I had bought the set from the Book Club at Preschool and one saturday morning Cami had crawled up in bed between Jeff and I. We were all talking and I asked Cami if she wanted to try to read her new book. So I pulled it out and BAM! She read it! Jeff and I were Floored!
Well my youngest daughter Jordyn has always been different than Cami.... She just always wanted to play dolls or anything except write letters.. where as Cami wanted to write at two and spoke at 8 1/2 months no i am not exaggerating! Well, tonight we were laying on the couches Cami with Daddy and her hamster Buddy and
Jordi with me and the Company Kids Catalogue (her favorite!).. and I asked Jordi if she wanted to try to read a Bob Book, she  said yes. We have been working on Headsprout.com a phonics game on the computer that is a great way to teach  to kids to read and its fUN too.. I had just asked Jeff about purchasing Headsprout...
we've been doing the trials, but its time to buy it!
She loves it... sounds out each letter and follows all the directions, its really fun.
So anyway, We had tried the Bob books before but she wasn't ready...
So we got it and layed down. She Read  the first book!! She is 5 1/2 years old!!
She sounded it out and read the book herself!!
It is so amazing because Jordyn goes to speech, she is working on her S's at the beginning   and k's at the end of words; there are some others too. But In all the time she has been going to speech I have been praying that her speech will not hinder her reading or she wont be discouraged from reading.
She did it, she read Book 1:"MAT" to me, she was so proud of her self, she asked if she could read it to her dolls, so she did. Then I asked her to come back to me and she read it again!
Jeff and I looked at each other in awe!
When she wants to do something she will do it no stopping her
and if not there's no making her, we learned that with soccer last fall!
Yeah Jordo!!!!!!!!!!
